What a journey it's been!
Tunlar Agency opened for business in 2019, providing valuable services to our local community at Lake Wallenpaupack, throughout the Northeast Region, and across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. What began as a vision, and ideas on a notepad, has come to fruition. We have been building and growing ever since, with two full-time Notary Agent staff members: Ann Cosgrove, Owner/Insurance Producer, and Nancy Staton, Title Service Director.
Tunlar Agency offers essential DMV Title & Tag Services, Notary Services for titles, forms, and document sets, along with support services such as copy, fax, and clerical options. Additionally, we provide a selection of Insurance Products. Open year-round from Monday through Saturday, many transactions can be completed online and instantly. This means that you may be able to receive proof of insurance, a valid registration card, proof of title application, and a license plate—all in one visit. Please note, certain types of work must be manually submitted to the state for processing.
We're an Authorized Agent with the PA Department of Transportation, PA Fish & Boat Commission, PA Department of Conservation & Natural Resources, and we're and authorized PennDOT TA Agent for Apportioned Heavy Truck Registration. We offer
insurance quotes through some really great carriers, like Safeco/Liberty Mutual, Progressive, Foremost/Farmers, Hagerty Insurance, Windsor Mount Joy Mutual, and many others.
Our Staff:
Ann's career path has been centered around the shores of Lake Wallenpaupack, where she grew up and worked through school to help support her family. She contributed to her father's businesses—Lake Region Insurance, Inc. and Lakeview Realty, Inc. (dba Wallenpaupack Realty)—for over 16 years until 2002. During that time, she earned a PA Real Estate Agent License, a PA Life, Accident & Health Insurance License, and a PA Property & Casualty Insurance License. Insurance has always been her passion, allowing her to assist many local residents throughout the region while working in agency support services, as an underwriter, a producer, and as an agency owner.
In 2003, Ann purchased Paupack Insurance Agency, INC., and was the owner through 2009, building and growing the business while providing insurance options for customers, and employment opportunities for local residents. After a fire destroyed the office location in 2008, a new office space was quickly established, allowing business to continue on with minimal interruption. Over the next 10 years, Ann continued to provide insurance services both locally, and across the U.S.
Ann enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, their children, and grandchildren; creating one-of-a-kind handmade quilts, and exploring the great outdoors.
After college, Nancy lived in various locations across the U.S. as part of a military family, before settling into Northeast PA to raise her family. Her career in the automotive title and tag industry began locally while working with Cork's Used Cars and Lightning Auto, where she gained valuable insight into motor vehicle transfers and vehicle registration procedures. She furthered her career at Kathys License for over a decade, assisting customers with Title, Registration, and Notary Services for school vehicles, emergency services, and apportioned work, acquiring knowledge about complex title transactions involving all types of vehicles, trailers, boats, ATVs, antiques, and snowmobiles.
Nancy joined Tunlar Agency in 2023 as Title Service Director, and also provides Mobile Notary Services by appointment. Nancy is currently the President of the Greene Dreher Sterling (GDS) Fair. She enjoys spending time with her family, and giving back to her local community.
As we continue to grow, the logo for Tunlar Agency will continue to change and evolve. Throughout this journey, we have remained focused, embraced new ideas, accepted failures, followed our dreams, kept the faith, and allowed creativity to unfold. We strive to create a fun, professional, and engaging office environment and we hope to see you soon!
