INSURANCE

Insurance is required in Pennsylvania to Register Motorhomes, Camper Vans, and the Trucks & SUV's that tow your campers, or the trailers that hold your tents and supplies.

Tow-behind campers like travel trailers, 5th wheels, and pop-up styles, do not require proof of insurance to register in PA (but we still recommend insurance coverage for its affordable package of protection).

Insurance is protectection for you, your family, your lifestyle, and your assets. Many plans offer coverage for your vehicle or trailer, contents, vacation liability, roadside assistance, and many optional enhancement features that you don't realize you need until a mishap occurs.

Motorhomes are similar to auto insurance, that includes liability protections, uninsured & underinsured motorist liability, and first party benfits coverage.

Physical Damage coverage is optional, but highly recommended for comprehensive (other then collision), and collision losses that may occur while you're traveling, or while your motorhome/camper is in storage.

TITLE TRANSFERS

Whether you're purchasing a new or used Motorhome, Van, Vehicle, or Trailer, stop by with the title, bill of sale, proof of insurance (if motorized), valid PA ID, and valid PA Insurance.

If the vehicle/trailer is coming to PA from out of state, a VIN Verification will be needed. This can be done at our office with the vehicle/trailer present, you can obtain a VIN tracing, or you can have a PA inspection mechanic, or Police Officer, complete form MV-41. Your title is typically mailed to you (if there's no lienholder) within about 10-14 days. Manual applications will take several weeks. You can also apply for Duplicate Titles at our office.

REGISTRATION

We utilize ONLINE & INSTANT options available through PennDOT providers to make your visit quick and easy, when possible. This way, you'll receive the actual registration card and a metal license plate, on the spot. Occasionally, manual application is necessary, but you'll receive a temporary registration and plate while the forms are processed by PennDOT. On occasion, you may need to submit an application for approval and wait for PennDOT to issue the registration card and plate. This process can take several weeks.
