PA Boat Launch Permits are available to purchase in the Lake Wallenpaupack area at Tunlar Agency, 1319 Purdytown Tpk, Hawley PA. We're open Monday - Friday, 9 to 4, and Saturday 9 to 1.

You'll need a Permit when launching an unpowered kayak, canoe, paddleboard, rowboat, or inflatable craft, from a PA Fish and Boat Commission access area, to launch within Pennsylvania State Parks and Forests, and for access to Commonwealth-owned waters, including those managed by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).

Unpowered boats do not have a motor and rely on wind or human paddle power. Boat Registration is available at Tunlar Agency for boats with a motor attached (electric, gas, trolling). The Commission does not recognize launch permits from other states. We'll provide you with a Temporary Launch Permit and proof of purchase, then PFBC will mail your decals/permit, to be displayed on the outside center of each side of the watercraft.
