TEMP TAGS - TEMPORARY REGISTRATION

PENNDOT In-Transit Temp Tags (registration and license plate) can be purchased at Tunlar Agency, 1319 Purdytown Tpk (RT 590 West), Hawley PA. We're OPEN 6-days a week, and walk-ins are always welcome - no appointment necessary.

In-Transit , Temp Tag, or Temporary Registration, is for out-of-state residents only, and allows the new owner 60 days to use the motor vehicle/trailer while making arrangements to title and register in their home state of residency (PA residents cannot purchase a Pennsylvania Temp Tag).

You will need to bring the valid, original ownership document (title, mco/mso, transferable registration card) that has been correctly completed with purchaser's details and signatures for all parties involved (photocopies are not acceptable); a bill of sale listing the buyer and seller, vehicle details, and purchase price; valid ID; and proof of valid auto insurance in your name (trailers excepted).

Your purchase will include a PA In-Transit temporary registration card, and a 60-day temporary registration plate. This provides valuable protection for you against potential fines and impoundment, and provides peace of mind for both parties.
