The holiday weekend is fast approaching. Make sure your boat is ready for the Memorial Day activities, Lake Wallenpaupack's 100th Year Celebration kick-off, and a Summer full of adventures at The Big Lake.

Tunlar Agency is a PFBC Authorized Agent at Lake Wallenpaupack, and we provide many Services for Boat Registration, Boat Title work, and Notary Requirements. If you'll be trading in a boat, or selling privately, we can help with the ownership documents that you'll need, and we can assist the buyer with New Title & Registration.

First, locate your original ownership documents. In Pennsylvania, that is a Title, unless you have an older boat with a Transferable Registration Card. Look at the PA Registration Card. If you see ******* above the title number, then you should be able to transfer ownership with the valid registration card. If there is a series of numbers, then you will need to locate the original PA Title.

If you cannot locate the title, you'll need to apply for a Duplicate.

We can help with that process, and you'll want to start ASAP. It can take several weeks for a Duplicate Title to be processed and mailed to you. Don't delay the sale or trade-in of your boat. Gather the boat details (hull id #, registration # and Title #, if known), and Visit our office, or Call 570-226-0550.

The process is similar for out-of-state boats. Determine what document can be used to transfer ownership when selling.

Your homeowners association, or marina, usually require proof of insurance. It's highly recommended, even if you select liability coverage only. Quotes are affordable, you have a selection of coverage options, and there are many discounts available. It is required by most lenders when financing a boat.

Look for our extended Holiday Hours coming soon! Buyer and Seller can meet right at our office to make your transactions super easy! We also provide PENNDOT Services for TRAILERS. That includes Notarization of Seller's Signature for PA Titles, PA Duplicate Title Request, PA Title Transfers from seller to the new owner, and Registration Renewals.

We sell IN-TRANSIT, temporary Registration & License Plates for out-of-state buyers, and PA seasonal home wners with primary residency in another state. This option allows 60 days to legally use your newly purchased trailer and allows time to schedule titling work in your home state. In-transit tags are not available to PA residents.

Boat Launch Permits: Apply for a Temporary Boat Launch Permit so you can kayak, canoe, or paddleboard over the extended holiday weekend.
