Fireworks on the 4th

Parts of Pennsylvania, including the Pocono Mountain Lake Region, were heavily impacted by mother nature’s fireworks display over the holiday weekend.

Many of the planned fireworks displays were still able to be held for America’s 250th anniversary, and Lake Wallenpaupack’s 100th year celebrations.

The winds howled, trees fell, and torrential downpours came with sporadic heavy lightning outbursts. This created havoc in some areas for travelers, residents, and those camping for the weekend. Power outages impacted many during the last day of the extreme heat outbreak.
