Title and Register your Boat Trailers at Tunlar Agency, 1319 Purdytown Tpk, Hawley PA.
We work with new and used trailers for boats, personal watercraft, kayaks, atv haulers, and utility style options.
You'll need the ownership documents: Title, Transferable Registration Card, or MCO/MSO, original court order; your valid PA Driver's License or Photo ID, the Bill of Sale, and a picture of the Weight Sticker for the unladen and gross vehicle weights.
If the trailer is coming into PA from out-of-state, new, or you have a court order, you will also need to bring it in for VIN Verfication. Not sure? CALL TUNLAR AGENCY 570-226-0550.
If that's not possible, you can obtain a legible VIN rubbing/tracing with paper and pencil, aluminum foil, or use the PennDOT form MV-41 and have a PA inspection mechanic, or Police Officer verify and sign the form.
Homemade Trailers require special handling and will need to have an enhanced inspection for you to manually apply for title and registration.
We utilize a PENNDOT authorized online vendor for INSTANT REGISTRATION when possible. This allows us to provide you with a REGISTRATION CARD, and a PA TRAILER LICENSE PLATE. Pennsylvania TITLES are processed by PENNDOT and mailed to the address shown on your valid ID (usually within 10 days).
We can assist with Duplicate TITLE online requests (back within 10-14 days), or manual requests (back within 3 to 8 weeks). The choice is yours. You can also make the 2.5 hour ride to PennDOT's Harrisburg counter if you want to try for same-day service.
Out of state residents will need to title and register trailers in their home state of residency. We sell PA IN-TRANSIT Temporary Registration and License Plates.
This allows out-of-state residents 60 days to legally use their newly purchased trailer, and return back to their home state for title and registration.
